DEWY MAKEUP LOOK FOR GLOWING SKIN

Dewy + fresh skin is in! I remember in high school when the matte look was in and I look back at photos and think YIKES! My dermatologist says that dewy skin is healthy looking skin and I completely agree! I’ve found that it can be difficult to achieve a dewy makeup look AND have it last all day.

I’ve been testing some new products and combinations and here are the products I’ve been using to achieve a glowy look that lasts all day AND feels light.

I always, always, ALWAYS start with my Skin Bae Natural Facial Serum from the Daily Essential Co. I tend to have oily skin but it’s lacking moisture. It’s taken me years to figure out how to properly balance my skin so it’s hydrated without overproducing oil. It’s sounds crazy but facial serums and oils have been the cornerstone to balanced skin. I put a couple drops of this on at night before bed and then in the AM I JUST rinse my face with water. My dermatologist suggested just rinsing to balance the oil my skin produced overnight - if I cleanse with a cleanser it strips my skin of necessary oils and starts to overproduce oil resulting in oily skin. The water also balanced the oils just right.

Before applying any makeup, I use a couple drops of the Skin Bae serum. I feel that this is essential in creating a dewy makeup look. Try it! I promise it won’t feel greasy or like your makeup is just going to slide right off. Plus your skin will LOVE you for it!

Step 1

Take a tiny pump of the CC+ Cream (I use a tiny pea size amount) and one pump of the Hydra Cool Serum and mix them together in the palm of your hand. Then take this CC cream blending brush and blend it in all over your face.

Step 2

Take the Shape Tape concealer and wipe the excess off the tip of the wand on the edge of the tube. This goes A LONG way! Then dab a few spots under your eyes and the tippie tops of your cheek bones, the tip of your nose and the cupids bow of your top lip. Wet your wedge sponge and squeeze out the excess water using a towel and then gently blend the shape tape.

Step 3

Take the glow wand and dab a couple spots in the same areas you put the shape tape - under your eyes, hippie tops of your cheek bones, tip of your nose and the cupids bow of your top lip. Using the same dampened wedge sponge, gently blend in.

Step 4

Lastly using a fluffy powder brush, gently brush on a small amount of the loose mineral powder to seal the look in place so it doesn’t move around throughout the day. Use just what has collected inside the lid of the contain and make sure you’re using the original powder as it has a dewy finish so it won’t take away the beautiful glow we just applied.
