1. SLEEP
You don't have to twist my arm to tell me that I need to sleep more to be in better shape. I LOVE SLEEP! But why? Additional sleep gives your body energy to burn more calories throughout the day. Statistics say that less than 6 hours of sleep results in 27% higher chance of becoming obese.
2. EAT BREAKFAST
I know you've all heard me go on and on about eating breakfast but it IS so important! Having a complete and balanced breakfast will give your body the fuel it needs to continue burning calories. On the flip side, if you DON'T eat breakfast, your body will store more fat and ultimately kill your metabolism.
3. SNACK
Yep, snack. Eating a 3 snacks a day, one between each meal will help you avoid cravings and leave you feeling fuller and more satisfied. For snack suggestions check out my post on what to eat before and after a workout.
4. WATER
Drink lots of water! At least 2 liters/half a gallon is very healthy, helps flush out your system and promote healthy skin and hair. Woohoo!
