HOW I MANAGE MY TIME AS A FULL TIME INFLUENCER

Many of you know that I’m a mom to 3 (almost 4), wife, social media influencer, blogger, entrepreneur, multi-business owner, friend, sister, and the list goes ONNNN. And like many of you, you also have a long list of roles and responsibilities. I frequently get asked how I manage it all? The house, the kids, my husband, my businesses, and myself all without a full-time nanny or assistant!? The short answer is, I DON’T, not even close!

We recently just downsized to a 2-bedroom condo while our house is being built so my house responsibilities have drastically decreased but for the last 4 years I’ve been maintaining a 3,800 square foot house mostly on my own.

The bottom line is that I wear many hats as I’m sure you do too but it really boils down to proper time management and scheduling each thing throughout my day.

Bullet journaling has been SO helpful for me and my responsibilities.

Blogging and social media has given me SO much flexibility. Honestly each day looks a little different.

Here is what today looked like for me. It’s mostly the same in those first few hours but that time between 9:30 and 12 when naps happen can look all kinds of different. Here’s how I bullet out my day:

5:15AM WAKE UP

This is my me time before I start the day. I make coffee and do some quiet time reading and praying then I start making breakfast for my kids.

6AM KIDS WAKE UP + EAT BREAKFAST

7:30AM GET READY

I love to get ready before my kids wake up, I’ve got my makeup down to 10-minutes and I wash my hair every 2-3 days. But it doesn’t always happen, like today! I get ready everyday regardless of what’s happening, it makes me feel like myself and I find that I’m more productive when I get myself together.

8AM TAKE PHOTOS

This morning we went out to the desert to take some photos of Logan and me. We try and take photos 2-3x per week for instagram content. Again, that doesn’t always happen - we’ve REALLY learned to be flexible around here.

9:30AM WORKOUT

I try and get my workout done as early as possible otherwise it probably won’t happen at all. I have some gym equipment at home that I love to use while the kids run around and play.

10:30AM LOGAN’S SCHOOL WORK

We’re currently home schooling during the pandemic until things start to get back to normal. I never considered myself a home schooling type mom but WE all actually LOVE it! We’re using the Good and Beautiful Curriculum.

11:30AM LUNCH

We all eat together and I love it!

12PM NAPS + WORK FOR ME

We put the kids down for naps at 12. Lately just Ford has been napping but the girls will still play in their room and have quiet time for 2 hours so I can get some work done!

2:30-3PM KIDS WAKE UP + PLAY OUTSIDE

When the kids wake up we usually play outside for a bit until dinner or go to the park to play. Today Troy is going to take them to the park and I’ll stay home today to get some more work done. I’m finishing up on a project and have some good momentum. I usually go to the park or play outside too but with my baby belly getting MUCH bigger lately, I’m not much fun at the park.

4:30PM START DINNER

I start dinner around 4:30 to be done around 5. We usually eat altogether unless the girls have gymnastics, then the girls and I just eat out together.

5:30PM FAMILY TIME

After dinner we hang as a family. Sometimes we watch a movie, play a game, or just play outside some more when the weather is nice.

6:15PM BATHS

7PM BEDTIME

7:30PM WORK

With kids I have to work around their schedules to get any work done. I do have a nanny that comes once a week so I can go to a coffee shop and get some uninterrupted work done for a few hours and have the time during their naps to work as well.

9PM BED!

This is just what my typical day looks like. If you don’t have kids or a full time job out of the house, you’ll obviously have MUCH more time to throw at your blogging/influencer business. But admittedly before I was able to quit my full-time job, I worked my blog and instagram on nights, early mornings and weekends.

Regardless of what YOUR schedule will look like, scheduling each thing out for the day is so helpful in keeping you on task and less distracted.

You’ll find that blogging and social media gives you LOTS of flexibility but there’s also LOTS that needs to get done as well. The bullet journal will be a priceless tool in keeping you motivated, on task and effective with your time.
