QUICK + HEALTHY GRAB & GO SNACK | CANDIED WALNUTS
Are you ever looking for a snack to have on hand? I am constantly snacking and looking for things that I can enjoy throughout the day. These are pretty easy to make and then I can quickly grab them for the next few days when I am feeling like I just need something sweet.
Ingredients
2 cups walnuts, raw
1 tablespoon butter, unsalted
½ cup coconut sugar
1/3 cup pure maple syrup
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon sea salt
½ teaspoon cinnamon
Directions
1. In a medium pan, add butter and sugar and heat over medium heat. Whisk ingredients together occasionally.
2. Add maple syrup, vanilla, sea salt and cinnamon. Stir together until everything warm and well combined.
3. Add walnuts and stir until all walnuts are evenly coated, about 3-5 minutes.
4. Remove from skillet and spread evenly over lined baking sheet.
5. Allow about 10-15 minutes for walnuts to cool.
6. Enjoy!
